Postcards from Oblivion
Oblivion is defined as a defensive process of removal that tends to push unwelcome memory contents away from the sphere of awareness.
These unpleasant memories, however, are not lost but remain unconscious and repressed.
With these photographs, I wanted to create a bridge between past, present and future.

A project born in order not to forget.
For years I have collected suggestions, thoughts and tears during International Holocaust Remembrance Day.
For years I have collected suggestions, thoughts and tears during International Holocaust Remembrance Day.
This year, after reading the book "Tu passerai per il camino" by Vincenzo Pappalettera, I understood.
I understood what it means to be hungry and cold, to feel alone and invisible.
I understood what violence, oppression and hatred are, but also friendship, tenacity and kindness.
I understood what confinement, loss, exhaustion and terror are.
I understood the importance of witnessing, always, even when it is painful.
"it is important to remember for others,
for the many who do not know,
for too many who do not want to know,
for the unbelievers in good or bad faith"

for too many who do not want to know,
for the unbelievers in good or bad faith"
